Google suggests that you "Keep the links on a given page to a reasonable number (fewer than 100)" and AutoMapIt now lets you decide how many are too many. On the Sitemap Setup page in your account, you now have the ability to select how many links per HTML sitemap page will be added by our system.
I would suggest that you set this below 90 which gives you a few extra links on the page for navigation. If you have additional links built into your pages template, you will need to go even lower than 90 links per page.
This is currently only functional for those who use our automatic upload feature, but I am working to make a version for the "download on demand" users. The easiest answer is to make a version that creates a .tar, .gz, or .tar.gz file (WinZip, but for *nix systems) containing multiple HTML sitemaps in compressed form.
